Organic cotton is cotton from controlled organic cultivation without the use of agricultural poisons as pesticides. The chemicals used with normal cotton cultivation are polluting the groundwater, the air and deplete the soil more and more. Most chemical pesticides are used in cotton cultivation. This makes it important that we pay attention to organic cotton.
To prevent the organic cotton crop from being eaten by insects, other insects are used to combat these harmful insect populations. Botanical plant extracts are also used.
Did you know that organic cotton is picked by hand again in the old-fashioned way? To be able to pluck by machine, chemical defoliant must be used with normal cotton cultivation.
